Joins InfoNetrix Research Team
Sacramento, CA (June 1, 2002) InfoNetrix,
announces that M.L. Chan, PhD of ML Consulting Group (Sunnyvale, CA)
has joined the firms growing team of professional market research
analysts. Dr. Chan, an internationally recognized utility automation
consultant, will immediately begin conducting tactical market research
interviews with a cross section of investor-owned, federal, municipal
and rural electric utilities during the second quarter of 2002.
As a key member of the InfoNetrix team, ML will not only help
ensure the timely completion of the 1,000 utility automation project
interviews we have scheduled for 2002, but he also adds an unparalleled
level of market knowledge, insights and experience to our research team,
says Mike Smith, InfoNetrix co-founder and Director of Tactical Market
Research & Development. These interviews will identify and
document automation projects being planned by electric utilities all
across North America, the results of which will be compiled and published
in our quarterly Tactical Project Activity Reports, Smith continued.
Both Mike Marullo (InfoNetrix co-founder and Director of Strategic
Market Research & Development) and I have known and worked with
ML over the years on a variety of market research and consulting projects.
We are looking forward to extending and expanding our relationship as
this project moves ahead and are already discussing other areas of our
work where MLs expertise can be applied.
ML further reinforces the technical strength of our growing staff
of research analysts and also enhances our ability to consistently deliver
top quality market intelligence information products and services to
our clients, added Marullo. Having worked closely with him
on proprietary consulting assignments in the past, I know that his contributions
will be invaluable to us and especially to our clientele, Marullo
concluded.
Dr. Chan holds bachelors and masters degrees in electrical engineering
from M.I.T. and a doctorate in resources management from Cornell University
(NY). He has spent the majority of his career in the utility automation
field, first as an engineering consultant with a large engineering firm
and for the past two decades as an independent technical consultant
to utilities and other organizations around the world. He is an active
member of the IEEE Power Engineering Society, having published and presented
numerous papers on a wide range of utility automation applications,
and serves on the technical advisory committee for the DistribuTech
Conference.
The present market focus of InfoNetrix is on electric utilities, but
plans are under way to expand coverage into water/wastewater, oil and
gas and related automation markets, both domestically and internationally.
InfoNetrix clients receive periodic executive briefings, research reports,
market news updates and proprietary consulting services throughout the
year in a package that can also be customized to suit specific needs
and interests.
